The Last Bookstore and Sprinkles!

I am always searching on Pinterest to find things to do in the Los Angeles area. There is a bookstore that I always come across that is on the LA bucket list. Kaleb and I get in these "I am going to read lots of books" moods and so we decided to head to the bookstore.
It was located downtown, a place we are not very familiar with so we had to pull out our handy dandy google maps. It wasn't too bad but then of course we had to pay for parking. Always a bummer.
It definitely isn't like a Barnes And Noble, more of an older style. It definitely smelled like old books.... not a very great smell. We learned that it is mostly a bookstore that you sell your used books and people can buy them. There wasn't very much organization to the store so it was hard to look for a book. However, the art and the architecture was awesome!!
They did so many designs with the books and random knick knacks.

There was also an area where people would sell their art. It was beautiful artwork, and interesting to look at how other people see the world. I am not a professional at art looking, some people were looking at the art and have a huge story or theory about the picture, I just took a quick glance and walked on.
We didn't end up buying any books, but it was still something fun to do.
After the bookstore we decided to cross off another LA bucket list item.... Get a cupcake from the ATM cupcake machine!!! I have been wanting to do this for a long time and was super excited to do it!

It is such a cute machine! But.... it was out of order! I was super disappointed! We ended up just going in the store instead. But it turned out to be better because we got ice cream! YAY!! We got Captain Crunch ice cream with a double chocolate chip cookie, sprinkles, caramel and chocolate! It was so rich and delicious!

It was a fun day of firsts! I am still planning on going to the ATM cupcake machine another time when it is working! I don't know why I think it is so cool.....

Pretzel Pizza and Donuts!

When I started Total Women Spa I worked from 1;00-6;00. About a month in there was an esthetician who dropped her Saturday mornings so they asked me if I would like to work the whole day (8;00 am - 6:00 pm). It definitely would be a long day but I snatched it up. The first few times were alright but there was one Saturday where I was extremely busy! I was so so tired!!!
When I got home I collapsed on the bed, Kaleb let me rest for a minute but then told me to look in the cupboard. He had walked to the donut shop and bought me donut holes!!! They were super fresh and delicious!!!

While I was enjoying a couple of donuts he showed me a letter that he wrote saying how he is off to the dollar store to get me a treat and if he doesn't come back he just wants me to know that he loves me. He told me that he was going to go there but decided that the donut shop was going to be safer and more delicious! The dollar store is a little scary and sketchy. We haven't been brave enough to go inside yet. Maybe one day..... maybe.
Saturday nights are date night, we received a coupon in the mail for a pretzel pizza! What the heck! We decided to try it out! It actually wasn't too bad but I don't think we would ever try it again. The cheese was nacho cheese, which I am not a big fan of, but the crust was delicious dipped in ranch!!

It was a super long day but it was nice to come home and relax, eat pizza and donuts!! YUM!!

The Biggest Mall Ever!!!

Close to where I work is a mall called The Americana. Apparently it is the sister mall to The Grove. People at work always talked about it and going there, everyone was surprised when I told them that I had never been there. Well.... Kaleb and I decided to go and check it out! It was ENORMOUS!!! There is the main part that looks like a normal mall all inside but then there is an outside part with a fountain and tons of other stores! It was AMAZING!!

It was a nice sunny day so there were a lot of kids running through the froggy fountain! Luckily I was able to snap a picture before anyone else ran through it!

In N Out is one of our favorite fast food places!! Their animal style fries are my Favorite!!

This fountain is the center of the mall!

And then there is this AWESOME GOLD STATUE!!!! Isn't it AMAZING!?!?!

There was also a trolley going around the square.
Like I said it is so HUGE that we had to use our google maps to find out way around! There are even two Apple stores here! It was crazy! But it was so fun to go and look around!
